It’s incredible to see time fly by so fast, that the end of the season of 2023 is already here. This is why we work so hard at La Roca, making every day count. Looking back at twenty-five years of service for our Lord Jesus Christ and saying, where has the time gone! Praise God, we still have more time to serve, Lord willing!
So, as you all might know, we are having our very first Gala at Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay on November 3rd, which falls on a Friday night, from 6 pm to 9 pm. Located at 825 E Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
You can buy your tickets through Facebook, or from our invitation sent by email. If you prefer, send a check to: La Roca Ministries, for only $50.00 per person. We hope you can come and celebrate with us 25 years of faithful service in our Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s amazing to remember our humble beginnings compared to what our Lord has provided during these past 25 years. It is challenging to imagine what else God has in store for La Roca in the coming years. It’s incredible how God has sustained us and kept us going through the challenges of the past. From working in the streets of Tijuana, to now running seven separate ministries, plus church planting, Bible Discipleship School, and now working in the two separate states of Sonora and Oaxaca. We have come a long way for sure, thank you Lord!!
We hope you will join us in this great celebration, as we all come together reflecting on the mighty work of our Lord Jesus Christ!
We have been blessed in so many ways, seeing people change from the inside out. Many have not only experienced redemption and regeneration but are committed to service in our Lord Jesus Christ! And of course, seeing so many of you support us not only financially but in prayer and service. Your participation makes this possible; thank you for being the backbone of La Roca.
We also want to give thanks, to our new President, James Merino, and his wife Claudia, who are doing a great job taking us to the next level. Thanks to them for their hard work and putting together this Gala. Like aways, all of us wear many hats, doing whatever needs to be done! But, thanks to our loving heavenly Father for giving us the strength, zeal and passion.
I have one testimony I would like to share, for the glory of God. His name is Eladio Sanchez. He came to La Roca after hitting rock bottom, addicted to drugs and alcohol, and without hope.
One of our members from our shelter brought Eladio with him to the La Roca ministry, completely dress as a women! Eladio, was received with open arms, a bed, shower and a warm meal. During his stay he attended every bible study. It was through God’s Word, he tells us in his testimony, that he found peace and his true identity. He shared with us his story including several pictures of him dressing up as a woman! After his transformation, he now has peace and knows who he is in Christ. Eladio then told us he was ready to go home. So, we helped him buy his bus fare and sent him back home to his family who had no idea where he was at, till now! How big is that!! Now, that is a big Wow! God is good and there is power in God’s Truth.
So again, thank you all for allowing us to be instruments in God’s hands. Thank you for being yourselves!! We are Just jars of clay, vessels that God uses for encouragement and blessings. All I know is we have made a great team these past twenty-five years!
