March 2023 Newsletter

Greeting to all our friends and ministry partners!

Your commitment to advance the kingdom of God here in Mexico through your prayerful support grows more meaningful day by day! As I said in our last letter, “words can’t describe our gratitude to each one of you for standing next to us! Together we are reaching and impacting so many people’s lives in Mexico! You are making gospel ministry happen all around!”

As a ministry we are always looking to wisely respond to the needs God places in front of us. You empower our faithful servants to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and we’d be grateful to have you pray for this month’s needs and how God might lead you to help us restore lives in Tijuana.

Tijuana

Something just happened recently, which made us move quickly to mobilize the right resources. A church member’s house was burned to the ground, leaving the family nowhere to go. We contacted our friends at Spectrum Ministries, and they were ready to help with a new home structure right away.

With the rains just around the corner, we had to move quickly to paint and seal the little house. Our youth group and two staff got the job done, and they did a wonderful job! But there is still more to get done. The home needs: insulation and dry wall and a new bathroom. It will cost a total of $3500 to complete the house. Together, we can help transform this faithful family’s outlook for years to come!

Sonora

La Roca Sonora is growing. Our staff are working hard sharing the Gospel and many are coming to the Lord, even though there are deep roots of religious traditions and opposition in these villages. One of the new church plants is growing, and in need of an outdoor bathroom. The workers are ready to serve and need $1200 for the cost of materials. Please keep the Sonora team in your prayers as they meet practical needs in the name of Jesus. Their names; from left to right in the photo: Virginio, Magdiel, Sujey, Martin and pastor Jesus.

House of Grace

Our teenagers are growing older, with many turning 17 this year. Here is a picture of Lupita turning 17 this month. Lupita loves to swim and desires to become a chef! She and many of her friends that came to the Orphanage close to 15 years ago, will soon turn 17 as well!

All these young ladies are now in high school, looking forward to what is coming down the road as they mature into adulthood.

This is the perfect example of how your financial and prayerful support gives hope to those who have come knocking at our door.

As you see the change in these pictures I hope it helps you appreciate the hope you have made available to so many. Here is another picture of them from when they were small to now as teenagers.

If you’d like to pray for them by name- they’re pictured as follows, first row next to Armanda who has seen these girls grow up: Emely, Britza, Lupita, top Vianey and Maria!

Here is another picture of all our teenage girls together, celebrating their new closet. It was well over-due!

And of course, we can’t leave our teens boys out, such a wonderful group.

We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. We appreciate your faithfulness and unwavering spirit- to see lives restored in Tijuana and Northern Mexico!

In His Love and Truth,

Carlos and Rossy and the rest of La Roca team!
